The Humanities PhD of the UPF distinguishes itself with the encouragement of the interdisciplinary orientation towards research, with the aim of reaching a global knowledge of the essential difficulties of human sciences and is a part in the research lines that are the most innovative in the fields of art, literature and thought. This doctoral training links with the work scope of the Master's Degree in Comparative Studies of Literature, Art, and Thought, as well as that of the research groups of the Institute of Culture and the UPF Humanities Department.

Training aims

The Humanities PhD aims to train highly qualified researchers in humanistic disciplines in order to start a teaching and research career in the scientific and academic world, or to start a professional career in the world of arts and culture. The objective of this PhD is to carry out a doctoral thesis, a project supervised by a lecturer of the PhD, which must be original and of your own, and has to address a specific topic in the proposed research lines.
