"An engineer's mentality at the service of a language and a country"

With the aim of disseminating and promoting the Catalan language and the work of Pompeu Fabra, the First Pompeu Fabra Chair Seminar, entitled “An engineer’s mentality at the service of a language and a country”, will be held on 5 and 6 November. This science seminar will address three key aspects of the figure of Pompeu Fabra:

  • Pompeu Fabra, engineer
  • Pompeu Fabra, linguist
  • Pompeu Fabra, committed citizen 

The Pompeu Fabra Chair of UPF is organising this seminar in collaboration with the Association of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia and the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC).
