On Tuesday, 14 June, Gema Revuelta and Clara Armengou, director and researcher respectively of the Science, Communication and Society Studies Centre is to present the annual report that analyses the appearance of health and medicine issues of in the media.

On Tuesday 14 June at 19:00 h the Science, Communication and Society Studies Centre of Pompeu Fabra University (CCS-UPF) together with the Fundació Vila Casas will present the 2015 Quiral Report: Public communication on vaccines.

Gema Revuelta, director of CCS-UPF and the researcher Clara Armengou, will present the main findings of the report. The event will be presided by Arcadi Navarro, secretary for Universities and Research of the Ministry of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Generalitat (Catalan Government) and UPF professor, David Comas, director of the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences of UPF (DCEXS), Miquel Vilardell, trustee of the Fundació Vila Casas and Antoni Vila Casas, president of the Foundation of the same name.

The Quiral Report gives a critical analysis of the information circulating in the media on various issues of health and medicine with the aim of helping to improve the benefit to citizens. Each year, the CCS-UPF carries out the study of public communication issues relevant to society. The 2013 report focused on the study of communication on regenerative medicine, the 2012 edition focused on HIV and AIDS, in 2011, on the communication of cancer and in 2010, on Alzheimer’s disease.
