What has the Innovation Area done during 2024?
The Innovation and Teaching Quality Area of the Engineering School and Department publishes a summary of our most relevant activities, studies and actions carried out during the last year, 2024.
In 2024, the Innovation and Teaching Quality Area led these three PlaCLIK projects: “Design Thinking as a teaching methodology in the context of higher education”, “Pedagogical design based on the gamification of learning in basic programming fundamentals: Data Structures and Algorithms II”, "Plan to improve the academic and training management of the Bachelor's Degree Final Project in the ICT Engineering Degrees of the UPF" and participated in others, especially in one titled “Development of the humanistic perspective throughout ICT engineering” led by a professor from the Department and which was disseminated in the form of an academic article, a process in which the Innovation and Teaching Quality Area actively participated. All the details can be consulted in the “Projects” section available on the center's Innovation Area website (https://www.upf.edu/ca/web/usquid-etic/projectes).
During 2024 the following articles were also published:
- Moreno Oliver, Verónica & Urgel Cantalejo, Keysha & Ruiz-Garcia, Aurelio & Santos, Patricia. (2024). GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE THROUGH THE STUDENTS' PERSPECTIVE: A CASE STUDY IN ENGINEERING. 5192-5199. 10.21125/iceri.2024.1273.

In addition, reports were prepared derived from various analyzes such as the analysis of the TFG performance (2024), employability of graduates, etc.
We kindly remind you that summaries of all these projects, studies and analyses are available on our website. There you can also find resources for teachers (upf.edu/web/usquid-etic/recursos-profesorado) and students (upf.edu/web/usquid-etic/recursos-estudiantes), which are regularly updated.
