Analysis in terms of the performance of the TFG (2025)
As every year, the Teaching Innovation and Quality Area of the Engineering Department School has analyzed the performance of the Final Degree Projects (TFG) in July, 2025. Below are the most significant conclusions based on overall results and specific results for each TIC degree and the Biomedical Engineering Degree.
Starting with general data, the following observations can be made:
- A total of 203 TFGs have been submitted (156 ICT Degrees + 47 Biomedical Degree).
- The average score is 8,58 (ICT) and 9,06 (BIO) when considering works rated between 4 and 10.
- The mode is 9/10 (ICT) and 9,50 (BIO) and the standard deviation is 1.07 and 0,60 respectively.
Regarding specific data based on the degree, the following can be observed:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering (GEI)
- 49 TFGs have been defended this year.
- The minimum score is 4/10, and the maximum score remains at 10/10.
- The mode has decreased again by 0,5 points compared to the previous promotions, now at 8,50/10.
- The average score is 8,50/10 (8,45 last year) and the standard deviation is 1,27 points.
Bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Systems Engineering (GESA)
- The number of TFGs that have been submitted this year is 44.
- The lower limit of the score range is 5/10 and the maximum is 10/10.
- The mode is 9/10 and the standard deviation is 1.04.
- The average score is 8,62 (8,53 last year).
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Engineering in Data Science (GEMCD)
- This year 45 TFGs have been defended.
- The average score increases again to 8,76/10 (8,67/10 last year).
- The minimum score increases to 6,70/10 and the maximum score is 10/10.
- The mode increases one point (10/10), and the standard deviation decrease from 1,15 in 2024 to 0,89 on 2025.
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Network Engineering (GEXT)
- 18 TFGs have been submitted this year.
- The average score is 8,26.
- The minimum score increases from 4/10 to 6,70/10 and the maximum score also increase being 10/10.
- The mode obtains a value of being 8/10, same as last year.
- The standard deviation decreases from 1,59 to 0,97.
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering
- In this promotion, a total of 47 TFGs were defended.
- The average score is 9,06/10 (last academic year was 9,10/10) and the score range is between 6,80 and 9,80.
- The mode value is 9,50 and the standard deviation is 0,60.
