Francesco Barbierí's thesis "Machine Learning Methods for Understanding Social Media Communication: Modeling Irony and Emojis" has obtained the best thesis award from the Spanish Society for Natural Language Processing 2019. The award ceremony will take place in the conference of the Society in September.
