As in the previous edition, DTIC researchers participated in the Maker Faire Barcelona 2018, the anual gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they make, organised by Sonar+D, FabLab Barcelona and Soko Tech.
Patricia Santos, from the research group TIDE, run a workshop about the ChangeMakers game “empatheia” and the offline activities associated to it. Change Makers nurtures the design thinking mindset of children through gaming.
In addition Pablo Aragón was also present, with a talk that covered the principles of the projects he is involved in as part of his work at Eurecat: DECODE Project, the DECIDIM Project, as well as the pilots BCN Data Commons and BarcelonaNow, the interactive dashboard for empowering citizens through urban data exploration See details in his blog.
