Brainstorm unveils the MAX-R Project at NAB 2023

06.06.2023

Brainstorm is proud to be part of the MAX-R Project and be a representative of it at NAB 2023. The Centennial edition of the NAB show in Las Vegas has arguably been the best ever as the go-to event for professionals in the global broadcast, media, and entertainment industries, with a preliminary registered attendance of 65.013 attendees.

The main objective of the “MAX-R: Mixed Augmented and Extended Reality Media Pipeline” project is to develop real-time processes in order to offer extended reality products and services on a large scale at top quality, with greater efficiency, improved interactivity, and new content based on XR media data.

Brainstorm’s main objective in MAX-R is to develop a new system that will allow the integration of two remote presenters into a virtual stage, both of them captured by a tracking system that mimics the movement of the local camera.

Additionally, Brainstorm and Filmlight are working together to integrate the InfinitySet tool with Filmilight’s color management tools within the system's pipeline. Last but not least, Brainstorm aims to integrate the VPET (Virtual Production Editing Tools) technology developed by Filmakademie with the InfinitySet tool to enable control of virtual sets with smart devices.
