JOSE ANDRES CANO RODRIGUEZ
PhD Student

I studied a degree in Economics at the University of Navarra, Spain (2016-2021). Afterwards, I completed a Research Master’s in Philosophy and Economics (2021-2023) at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Netherlands.

In March 2024, I joined Universitat Pompeu Fabra to pursue a PhD. I belong to the research project “The Political Philosophy of Work”, led by Iñigo González Ricoy (Universitat de Barcelona) and Jahel Queralt (UPF). Under the supervision of Iñigo González Ricoy, my PhD thesis focuses on the impacts of automation on work. More specifically, I attempt to address two main questions. First, whether, and under which conditions, the negative impacts of automation on work are wrongful market harms. Second, whether, and under which conditions, the positive impacts of automation on work are public goods."
