Alba is a Postdoc Research Fellow in Legal Philosophy in Facoltà di Giurisprudenza, Università Roma Tre (IT). In 2023, she obtained a PhD in Law at Pompeu Fabra University (qualification: excellent CUM LAUDE) under the supervision of Prof. Josep Maria Vilajosana and Prof. Lorena Ramirez Ludeña. She holds an MA in Analytic Philosophy from the Universitat de Barcelona and an MA in Legal Culture from the Universitat de Girona. She also holds a law degree from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.

Her main research interests are the ontology of law and the theory of legal norms, and her research areas are Legal Theory and Social Ontology. Her PhD thesis focused on the nature of constitutive rules, seeking to understand their main characteristics, where she has developed a novel account of such rules, whose applicability and explanatory power were tested in the legal realm. In addition, she is interested in broader questions about the nature of institutions, social norms and obligations.
