This May 2026, the winners of the 6th edition of the Awards for the Best Master's Theses and the Best Doctoral Dissertations in East Asian Studies have been announced.

In this sixth edition, a total of eighteen projects were evaluated: twelve master's theses and six doctoral dissertations. As stated in the competition rules, these are research projects defended in Spain within the field of East Asian Studies during the 2024/25 academic year. According to the EAO website, this year's jury was composed of 33 experts from the various fields of the submitted works. The quality of all projects was remarkably high, resulting in a very close vote.
