ABSTRACT

With the evidential uptake in the use of social media in Nigeria for political communication purposes, the study is focused on the growing significance of the country’s (and Africa’s) largest online discussion forum, Nairaland, in this regard even as the approximately 200 million population of Nigeria - the world’s most populous black nation - is projected to more than double by 2050.
