CritiCC's member Laura Fernández publishes the book Hacia mundos más animales (Towards more animal worls), which will be soon available through Ochodoscuatro Ediciones.

The introduction of the book has been pre-published in Eldiario.es.

Next Sunday, June 3rd, there will be a presentation of the book at the Vegan Street event in Madrid

Synopsis: Speciesism, sexism, heteronormativity, racism, ableism, environmental exploitation... All forms of oppression are connected, since they are based on a common way of organizing the world: the binary thinking. Towards more animal worlds traces the different binaries that structure worlds and relationships. Binaries on which the diverse systems of oppression that hierarchize the bodies are settled, turning them into other corporalities: dominable, exploitable, assassinable. To convert a body into an other (to degrade and oppress) it is necessary to generate a chasm between me and the other. Towards more animal worlds explores the common roots that permeate the systems of domination, considering bodies as the space where the line is drawn between the lives that matter and those that do not matter. But bodies do not passively receive oppression, bodies are also spaces of political action, of contestation, of resistance. Is there the possibility of an alliance between bodies to (re)exist in common? This essay is an impulse to walk (or crawl, or swim, or fly) other possible ways to inhabit the worlds and to relate to those who share them.
