On Friday 28 Frebruary, CritiCC's researcher Laura Fernández gave a conference entitled "The price of meat. Food at the expense of the environment" in the Green Fridays student initiative at the IQS (Institut de Química de Sarrià, Universitat Ramon Llull). 

In this session, Laura Fernández presented the paper "Veganism, antispecism and animal ethics". She discussed the history of ethical vegetarianism, veganism and specism, the different manifestations of specism, the concept of carnism, animal resistance and the connections between different forms of oppression. Cristian Moyano, PhD researcher in moral philosophy from UAB, also participated in the conference. He spoke about environmental impact of intensive livestock production from a social justice perspective.
