I am Associate Professor (TU) of Applied Mathematics and coordinator of the Image Processing and Computer Vision Group at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.

My research interests include image processing and computer vision. In particular, I'm currently interested in geometric and semantic image and video analysis, geometric and semantic understanding of the dynamic content of videos using multimodal information, including particular contexts such as sports analysis or film analysis, in generative models and its use for solving inverse problems in imaging, in unsupervised learning, cross-modal relationships and understanding, data representation, variational models, non-local methods and its applications, geometrical methods, visual perception and its modeling. In general, in both model-based and data-driven strategies, together with its mathematical analysis, for image processing and computer vision.
