The Punktocrator is a mural in the form of an altarpiece, with sizes very similar to those of the great Renaissance altarpieces, solved in its entirety using colored aerosols and adhesive tape reserves of paper to make the separations of chromatic areas. The worn containers of the sprays have been used to decorate the mural, reproducing handmade metal rivets attached to the work. The work, with a very rich iconography, plays with different stages in the history of art, from the pantocràtors of Catalan Romanesque art to Futurism or the Cubism of the avant-garde.

The quotation that accompanies the Punktocrator, extracted from the work of the Roman philosopher and poet Lucretius (Titus Lucretius Carus [99 BC 55 BC]), De rerum natura (From the nature of things), is as follows:

Sed nihil dulcius est, bene quam munita tenere
Edita doctrina sapientum templa serena,
Despicere unde queas alios passimque videre
Errare atque viam palantis quaerere vitae

English translation:

But there is nothing more pleasant
to possess the excellent temples,
adorned by the calm knowledge of the wise
from where you can distinguish others
And see how confusing they get lost
And they seek, wanderers, the path of life
