Graduate in Physics and PhD in Communication, expert in music technology.

He is a researcher in the Music Technology Group at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, ​​where he leads the Music and Advanced Interaction (MAIn) team, and associate professor at the same university, where he teaches various undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to audio and digital music, human computer interaction (HCI), and “media art”. He has written numerous articles and books, and given conferences and workshops in Europe, Asia and America, always trying to intertwine HCI, music and interactive digital arts. He has received several international awards, including the Ciutat de Barcelona (2007) or the prestigious Ars Electronica Golden Nica (2008). Best known for being one of the creators of the Reactable, a new musical instrument that achieved massive popularity after being integrated into the last world tour of the Icelandic artist Bjork; He is currently focusing his research on the applications of digital technologies in early childhood education, especially in the fields of music and programming.
