RAIN Film Festival opens an international call for submissions of films that use artificial intelligence (AI) models in their creative processes, and explore their aesthetic, narrative, ethical and political possibilities and implications. In its third edition, the +RAIN Film Festival invites filmmakers to present and discuss their work at public screenings. An international jury selects the most innovative films to be screened, also at Sónar+D.
RAIN Film Festival is the first European festival of AI-generated films. The event invites discovery, experimentation and detailed reflection on the most relevant aspects of the authorial creation generated by this transformative technology.
RAIN Film Festival aims to give space to film proposals made with generative AI that experiment with film language, that take a critical look at the limits and biases of the technology itself, that appropriate these tools in unexpected ways that strain the hegemonic forms of representation.
RAIN Film Festival is open to film proposals directed by filmmakers and visual artists, but also by creators coming from other fields, to consider a wide spectrum of cinematographic codes and languages that play with the possibilities of generative Artificial Intelligence.
RAIN Film Festival wants to encourage the participation of emerging filmmakers and filmmakers in training, with the aim of giving space to new talents and looks.
