Rafael Ramírez is a adjunct lecturer and leader of the Music and Machine Learning Laboratory of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and his master’s and doctoral degrees in Artificial Intelligence and doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. He studied violin and classical guitar at the National School of Music of Mexico. His research interests include music technology, artificial intelligence and technology-enhanced music learning.
