Ernest Lluch was a valuable intellectual, a respected politician and an enormously popular communicator when he was assassinated on 21 November 2000. Researcher, writer, professor, parliamentarian, minister, university rector, columnist, talk-show host... Ernest Lluch was all of these, and for all of them he is remembered, recognised and loved.

Ernest Lluch Prize in Social and Political Sciences for the best research work in the baccalaureate course 2020 - 2021
This prize is awarded to the best research work in the field of Social and Political Sciences presented during the current academic year 2020-2021, in public, private or state-subsidised secondary schools in Catalonia, and is worth 700 euros for the winning work and 100 euros for each of the runners-up prizes awarded.
Finalists and awards ceremony
The XVI Ernest Lluch Prize in Social and Political Science's awards ceremony will take place next Wednesday 26th May at 12pm at "Sala de graus Albert Calsamiglia", UPF Ciutadella Campus. Considering the current situation caused by the covid-19 pandemic, the on-site event will follow the recommendations put in place by the health authorities. The event will be broadcasted in the university's website (you can find the link to access the streaming below).
Pending to reveal the winner during the awards ceremony -on Wednesday 26th May 2021-, the jury panel, made up of members from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at UPF and the Ernest Lluch Foundation, has decided that the finalists (presented here in alphabetical order) are the following:

- "Mares del Reich". Pseudonym: Valquiria
