The research groups of the Communication Department of the UPF POLCOM and CAS have organized for next Thursday June 14 at the initiative of their doctoral students Guillem Suau Gomila and Marta Lopera Marmol the seminar: "From Utopia to Cynicism. The Politicians in the Contemporary Television Series". The objective of this seminar is to reflect on the examples provided by contemporary television series, on how the image of politicians and politics is being constructed in the collective imaginary of Western societies, with special emphasis on those visions utopian political as "hero" and also, in the most cynical that represent the politician as evil, corruption and absolute barbarism.
