This permit enables you to carry out paid work if you have a valid study permit. Your employment must be on a part-time basis. Full-time employment is only permited if it is to take place outside term time, and must be compatible with study schedules.

The duration of such work permits depends on that of your study permit or of your employment contract. 

IMPORTANT: the current regulations stablishes that foreigners with a permit for a studies stay do not have the right for the provision of unemployment. 

 

Procedure

  • The Catalan Government is responsible for decisions regarding applications. 
  • UPF's Teaching and Research Staff Service will submit your application and supporting documents.
  • Documents required:
    • An application form
    • A copy of your personal details from your passport
    • A copy of your study permit or, if it has expired, of an application for this renewal
    • A copy of your contract
    • A certificate stating that you are enrolled on an official course and are achieving good results, and showing your study schedule. If you are exclusively carrying out research, the certificate in question should reflect this and specify that your schedule is flexible.
