The Observatori de Neologia from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, alongside the Secció Filològica from IEC, TERMCAT and 3Cat-ésAdir, who organized the contest as a part of the Neologisme de l’any 2023 campaign, have announced the winning memes.

The first prize in the Instagram category has been awarded to the meme made by @elcatalaviu, which included one of the winning neologisms, tiet tieta, as well as the rest of the neologisms from the ‘la paraula corrent’ list, and the second prize to @npcdel33, which referenced hipersexualització. On X (Twitter), the first award has been won by @swarua, who included several neologisms from ‘la paraula nova’ in her meme, such as nit tropical, ecoansietat and refugi climàtic, and the second one by @albaagranell, with a reference to tiet tieta. Last but not least, on TikTok, the first prize has been awarded to @trodeponent and the second one to @ginadetera, both with memes that include the neologism tiet tieta.
