Alarcón Serrano, Sara

Predoctoral researcher in the Medium research group at the UPF Communication Department. Her thesis explores technological imaginaries, with a special focus on artificial intelligence, in children's fiction. She is interested in seeing how cultural artifacts allow for the articulation of hegemonic values, as well as the construction and configuration of children's discourses, narratives, and imaginaries.

Research lines: childhood studies, cultural materialism, technological imaginaries, political economy of communication.
