Follow-up at UPF

UPF is constantly monitoring the evolution of the outbreak of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and has taken actions to address it following the instructions from the health autorities.

Monitoring committee

On 27 February a monitoring group was set up at UPF, due to the first episodes of COVID-19 in Barcelona.

Initially, it was chaired by Ramon Villanova, vice-rector for university community project management, and Jaume Badia, UPF general manager. It also involves Cristina Gelpí, vice-rector for teaching projects; Isabel Valverde, vice-rector for internationalization projects; Pablo Pareja, vice-rector for projects related to faculty affairs; Àngels Ingla, head of the rector’s office; Rosa Maria Pujante, deputy general manager of the Human Resources and Organization Area; Manel Giménez, deputy general manager of the Area of Economic Resources, Recruitment and Property; Coro Pozuelo, deputy general manager of the Teaching Area; Sara López, head of the International Relations Service, Cristina Oliva, director of the Ciutadella campus; Rosa Olivé, head of the secretary’s office of the Health and Life Sciences UGA; and Sergi Jarque, head of the Office for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards.

Since June 4, 2021, the monitoring committee consisted of:

David Sancho, vice-rector to the rector, and Jaume Badia, UPF general manager. It also involves Sergi Torner, vice-rector for Academic Planning; Pablo Pareja, vice-rector for Teachiong Staff and Community Realtions; Àngels Ingla, head of the rector’s office; Anna Espnya, head of the Translation and Language Sciences UCA; Rosa Maria Pujante, deputy general manager of the Human Resources and Organization Area; Manel Giménez, deputy general manager of the Area of Economic Resources, Recruitment and Property; Coro Pozuelo, deputy general manager of the Teaching Area; Sara López, head of the International Relations Service, Cristina Oliva, director of the Ciutadella campus; Rosa Olivé, head of the secretary’s office of the Health and Life Sciences UGA; and Sergi Jarque, head of the Office for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards.

It also involves Sergi Torner, vice-rector for Academic Planning; Pablo Pareja, vice-rector for Teachiong Staff and Community Realtions; Eulàlia Solé, head of the rector’s office; Anna Espnya, head of the Translation and Language Sciences UCA; Rosa Maria Pujante, deputy general manager of the Human Resources and Organization Area; Manel Giménez, deputy general manager of the Area of Economic Resources, Recruitment and Property; Coro Pozuelo, deputy general manager of the Teaching Area; Sara López, head of the International Relations Service, Cristina Oliva, director of the Ciutadella campus; Rosa Olivé, head of the secretary’s office of the Health and Life Sciences UGA; and Sergi Jarque, head of the Office for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards.

The monitoring group aims to centralize all information, communication and the management of any event that is related to the evolution of coronavirus.

The 2021-2022 academic year has begun with face-to-face eaching, except in exceptional cases, for all undergraduate students. UPF has scheduled the course with the necessary flexibility to be able to react and comply at all times with the rules set by the health authorities in response to the evolution of the pandemic.
