Maria Sanz currently does doctorate in Translation and Language Sciences at the University Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). She has a degree in linguistics from the University of Barcelona (2008) and a Master in Communication (ESIC, 2009)  in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (University Menéndez Pelayo-Instituto Cervantes, 2013). Actually, in her first year of doctorate, she received a scholarship that allowed her to collaborate as a teaching assistant in the course of Spanish language at the University Pompeu Fabra. Currently Maria Sanz teaches Spanish as a foreign language in the BSP unit of the University of Navarra and she is associate professor at the University of Barcelona. She is interesting in the area of ​​research focuses on the analysis of the conversation WhatsApp and the impact these conversations in the creation of group identity in academic (and in particular in the field of Spanish as a L2).
