Ana Maria Ducasse is a Senior Lecturer at RMIT University in Spanish Language, Culture and Linguistics. Her research interests span applying discourse analysis to evidence-based scale development for L2 speaking and L1 writing, language pedagogy, and language testing and assessment. She is currently working on a Spanish Government grant with Dr Carmen Lopez Ferrero from the University of Pompeu Fabra, and her team, on Classroom Based Assessment focussing on written feedback for L2 taught in higher education. She has also completed a cross-cultural discourse project on persuasion in Spanish and English discourse on reality TV funded by the Spanish government and a first-year tertiary oracy study across three disciplines at La Trobe University funded by the Educational Testing Service.
