Francesc Fernández has on PhD in contrastive textology at Pompeu Fabra University. He is a member of the Graula, a Catalonia-based classroom research group made up by EOI-teachers, and has lately participated in a funded three-year research project aimed to encourage plurilingual competency in foreign language and teaching. His research interests are concept-based instruction from a translinguistic perspective and as related to agency-based, self-motivating and  affectively effective teaching.
