She graduated in German Studies and a Phd. Science Education Doctor of Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the University of Barcelona in 1999. She graduated in German Studies and a Ph.D. Science Education. Her main research is in the context of educational research (the study of language in the classroom) and also in the field of professional development for language teachers. Her main line of research is set in the context of educational research (language classroom research) and also in the field of language teachers’ professional development. For the last ten years she has worked intensively on the implementation of teacher education models based on reflective and exploratory practice. She has published many articles and book chapters as well as three books in Catalan, Spanish, German and English about learner autonomy, plurilingual approaches to language learning and teaching and to language teachers’ professional development. She is part of the advising board of 5 research journals on language and language education.
