Dina Gómez Lozano graduated in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Tolima Colombia in 2002. Her final dissertation was entitled: El Círculo como magnitud en los  elementos de Euclides: las cuerdas en el libro III. In 2005, she began to work for the Ministry of Defense as a teacher in the area of ​​Mathematics and Physics in Bogota. She has lived and worked in Barcelona since 2012 when she obtained the Talent Scholarship to undertake a Masters in Writing Creative UPF-IDEC for the academic year 2012-2013. In the academic year 2015-2016, she completed a Masters Degree in Discourse Studies: Communication, Society and Applied Linguistics with an emphasis on Research. She completed her Masters dissertation on topics related to the analysis of discourses of mathematics in the Colombian press. She currently works as a research assistant on the ECODAL project and belongs to the GRAEL research group. She is undertaking a PhD under the direction of Dr. Encarnación Atienza and Dr. Teun Van Dijk. Her research interests are related to multidisciplinary teaching proposals.
