The presentation of works is open to all members of the UPF university community.

The proposed exhibits must be accompanied by an introductory text that contextualizes the works (theme, technique, intention...).

These proposals must be conceived for displaying essentially in the spaces provided on the three campuses, when feasible.

Proposals that contain racist, sexist, homophobic contents, or that violate human rights will not be considered.

The works will be selected taking into account:

1. Technical quality

2. The coherence of the project

3. Its integration in the exhibition space and its viability

4. Its social or collective interest

5. The creative intention

Termly announcements will be made by the University general manager.

The proposed exhibits will be evaluated and selected by a committee made up of the Vice-rector for Culture and Communication, the campus directors, the SACU culture technician and University professors who are experts in contemporary art and culture. This Committee will raise its proposal for resolution by the University general manager. The resolution adopted will be notified/published within a maximum of 15 days, counting from the deadline for submission of the proposed exhibits.

1. The use of the exhibition space is free and not for profit.

2. The exhibition will have a maximum duration of 30 days, extendable for an equal period, provided it is available.

3. The exhibition stands will be walls, panels and/or showcases.

4. If any material is lost or damaged during assembly or dismantling, the University will not be held responsible for the damage.

5. There is no surveillance available for exhibitions.

6. The University has no insurance for the exhibited works.

7. The exhibitor will oversee assembly and dismantling.

8. The University will not provide any financial aid for production or transport, which will be borne by the exhibitor.

9. The University will facilitate access for unloading the works prior to assembly as well as loading the works after dismantling the exhibition.

10. The University will provide technical support in matters of lighting and organization of the exhibition space, if necessary.

1. The University will advertise the exhibition through the University's usual channels: social networks, e-newsletters, posters, UPF Culture websites, etc.

2. If the exhibitor wishes to produce other advertising material, this material must include the University logo and the exhibitor will bear the financial costs.

3. The intellectual property rights, both moral and the rights of exploitation, over the displayed works belong exclusively to their authors. UPF will have the non-exclusive right to exhibit them, both on paper and on digital media, and to reproduce them for publication in the University media within the scope of its regular activities and not for profit, always stating the corresponding copyright with the name of the author.

4. For any other means of exploiting the exhibited works other than those expressly set out in these rules, the University will require the express written consent of the author.

To submit proposed exhibits, you must:

• Prepare a pdf dossier including the following information:

  • a short resume of the author

  • a text contextualizing the works (theme, technique, intention...)

  • photographs of the works to be exhibited

• Attach the dossier to the form found at the following link

Deadline for submitting applications: 23 November 2023

If at the time of registration you have a problem, go to the User Support Centre (CAU) and state that you wish to participate in the call and leave your contact details.
