Why do we update?

The eduroam wireless network allows you to connect to the Internet from your mobile device. To make this connection secure, your device contacts a trusted server and verifies that everything is correct. This verification is done through a certificate issued by a certification authority and, in order to offer reliability, this certificate must be renewed periodically.

This certificate will be renewed on February 28th and it will be necessary to update the Wi-Fi configuration for your device to connect to the eduroam wireless network and have an Internet connection.

Configure eduroam!

You can configure eduroam in two steps:

• Delete the eduroam network if you already had it configured
• Connect to cat.eduroam.org and follow the instructions

If you prefer, you can attend a support session or go to the IT Service Point on your campus.

Support sessions

Choose the session that best suits you, from February 28 to March 4. No prior registration is required.

Sessions are scheduled based on the operating system of different types of devices.

In the table you will also find the classrooms and schedules for each session.

Note: for devices with other operating systems, go to the campus IT Unit.

Ciutadella Campus

There are sessions for Windows laptops; Apple laptops, phones and tablets and for Android phones and tablets.

30-minute face-to-face sessions in different classrooms in the Roger de Llúria Building (check the classroom in each session). 

Mar Campus

There are sessions for Windows laptops; Apple laptops, phones and tablets and for Android phones and tablets.

Face-to-face sessions of 30 minutes in room 61.125 in the dr. Aiguader building.

Poblenou Campus

There are sessions for Windows laptops; Linux laptops; Apple laptops, phones and tablets and for Android phones and tablets.

30-minute face-to-face sessions in different classrooms in the Roc Boronat Building (check the classroom in each session).

ICT Service Points

If you have doubts when updating the configuration, you can go to the IT Service Points that will be on each campus so that they can assist you at any time.

From February 28 to March 4.

Schedule:

• From Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• From Monday to Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Location:

• Ciutadella Campus (2 points):
  • Courtyrad de Roger de Llúria (in front of the cafeteria).
  • Reception of Jaume I.
• Mar Campus:
  • Lobby of the 2nd floor of the teaching building (Dr. Aiguader, 80).
• Poblenou Campus:
  • Atri space (entrance hall) of the Tallers Area building.
