EACAS 2019 Conference
On the 22-24 May 2019, the UPF (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) held the 6th Conference of the European Association for Critical Animal Studies (EACAS) at UPF. With more than 200 participants –including 4 keynote speakers, 112 papers presented, 2 activists roundtables and 4 workshops–, the three days of the conference gathered scholars, researchers, activists and interested public from all continents and cultures to discuss critical animal studies issues. The event was organized by the UPF-Centre for Animal Ethics and the research group CRITICC at the UPF Department of Communication. It was sponsored by the UPF-CAE, the UPF departments of Communication and Law, UPF-CRITICC Research Group, Lush Spain, Ariwa and Rita Wing. The organisations collaborating were: ESLA, Traslosmuros, Estació Vegana, La Raposa, Veganisseria, and Apunts.
