Molla Garcia, Marc

I graduated in Engineering Physics from UPC Barcelona in 2024 and pursued my interest in the intersection of physics and biomedicine by completing a Master’s degree in Computational Biomedical Engineering at UPF. This led to the start of my PhD within the TransCor and Physense research groups, under the supervision of Dr. Gabriel Bernardino and Prof. Oscar Camara. My research focuses on assessing thrombus formation risk and the effects of anticoagulants in the left atrium for generic atrial fibrillation (AF) and post-intervention left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) patients through computational multiscale modelling, including fluid dynamics simulations and the transport of reacting species involved in the coagulation cascade.
