The Social and Political Theory Research Group is especially committed to mentoring and supporting PhD students and early-career researchers, providing them with opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, academic publication, and professional development.

The Social and Political Theory Research Group welcomes new PhD students in different research areas. You are encouraged to directly contact the Group members for information and orientation.

As a methodologically pluralist group, we engage with global political economy, social sciences, and diverse critical theoretical and philosophical traditions—whether analytic or continental, critical theory or pragmatism—including a variety of methodologies.

By joining the group, PhD students and emerging scholars become part of a supportive intellectual community, where they are encouraged to pursue cutting-edge research and make meaningful contributions to the field. The members of the group have been supervising over 40 PhD theses.

PhD Workshops and events such as the Yearly Inaugural Lecture or the Seminar Series are an important and regular part of the group’s intellectual life.
