Núria Almiron, senior lecturer at UPF and director of the International Studies in Media, Power and Difference MA, was awarded one of the Premis del Consell Social (Prizes of the Social Council) for her teaching activity on the master programme on Monday, 9 October by the UPF Board of Trustees. The prize recognizes her excellence in teaching on the master programme in the year 2017, and she was awarded alongside four other master coordinators at the university. 

The Board of Trustees functions as the university body for strategic planning, quality promotion and improvement policies relating to management, budgeting, heritage and community at UPF. The Board in particular is concerned with fostering a positive relationship between the university and its surrounds (culturally, professionally, economically, socially and territorially). The Board’s recognition of Núria comes after only three years of the MA in International Studies on Media, Power and Difference being coordinated at UPF and reflects its growing stature; in its third year, the programme received three times as many applications as the second year and this trend is poised to continue.
