Major Milestones for wgpuEngine: WebGPU-WebXR, JS Bindings, and More!
We’re excited to share a wave of updates and milestones for wgpuEngine, our open-source, cross-platform graphics engine built around the WebGPU API.
Since March, wgpuEngine has officially supported the WebGPU-WebXR binding, marking a major step forward for immersive web applications. This integration only became possible after key updates to browser runtimes, and we’re proud to be among the first to adopt and validate it in a live engine—making true web-native XR experiences a reality.
In addition, wgpuEngine is now fully usable in the browser via JavaScript bindings, allowing seamless integration with web-based projects and frameworks. Alongside these technical advancements, the engine has reached 30 stars on GitHub! We hope that it continues growing within its own community of developers and researchers.

To support new users, we’ve also released updated documentation, making it easier than ever to explore, integrate, and extend the engine. Try it out, contribute, and help shape the next generation of real-time 3D on the web!
