MAX-R Project Successfully Concludes with Cross-Platform XR Contributions
After three years of collaborative research and development, the MAX-R (Mixed Augmented and eXtended Reality Media Pipeline) project has officially concluded. As part of this European initiative, our team contributed to advancing the state of real-time graphics and XR tooling through the development of a cross-platform rendering engine built on WebGPU, and an immersive XR content creation tool designed for both desktop and web environments.
Throughout the project, we explored cutting-edge workflows in WebXR, OpenXR, and volumetric rendering, validating our technologies through integration with third-party platforms and real-world creative applications. The outcomes not only demonstrate the feasibility of WebGPU-based rendering across platforms, but also lay the groundwork for open, accessible XR authoring pipelines.
