This fall, four GLiF members successfully defended their theses. 

• Sara Amido defended her thesis entitled "You’re offended, I’m offended: A face-based analysis of confrontational conversation" on October 24, 2025.
• Jialing Liang defended her thesis entitled “On variation in classifier choice in Mandarin Chinese " on October 30, 2025. 
• Clàudia Martínez Hernández defended her thesis entitled “Partitive-en in Catalan is not a test for unaccusativity. Experimental evidence and theoretical consequences " on November 6, 2025. 
• Sebastian Buchczyk defended his thesis entitled " Mood alternation in argument clauses: On the interrelation between commitments and verbal mood in Romance" on November 13, 2025.
