I work at the intersection of AI/ML and wireless communications, with expertise spanning cellular (3GPP) and Wi‑Fi (IEEE 802.11). My experience covers standards, industrial R&D, academia, and the management of software development and research teams.
Industry
- Representing Nokia in IEEE 802.11 standardization for next-generation Wi-Fi.
- Led a global software development team supporting Nokia's 3GPP contributions on AI/ML in 6G.
- Ex Telefónica; led research on data-driven RAN optimization and AI for radio digital twins.
- Ex Bell Labs; developed 5G/WLAN multi-antenna algorithms; core contributor to new system-level simulator.
Academia
- Tenured Professor; former Vice-Dean of Telecommunications Engineering; supervised 10+ researchers.
- Principal investigator of 10+ externally funded research projects from competitive calls.
- 100+ publications; two IEEE career awards; three IEEE best paper awards; three paper runner-up awards.
- IEEE Distinguished Lecturer; 100+ keynotes and lectures; created IEEE course "Fundamentals of Wi-Fi".
