Research
My research focuses on Social Security Law and social protection, with particular attention to pension systems, the principles that structure them and their ongoing transformation.
A central part of this research agenda examines solidarity as a foundational principle of social protection, pension reforms, and the mechanisms of participation and governance that shape welfare institutions. This line of work has gradually expanded to include broader questions concerning social protection, family-related protection and evolving social risks.
Alongside this field, I maintain a long-standing research interest in the transformation of work, digitalisation and fundamental rights, beginning with the study of information technologies in the workplace and extending to contemporary issues such as platform work, remote work and artificial intelligence.
My research combines Spanish, European and comparative perspectives and has been developed through competitive research projects, international research networks and commissioned research for international institutions.
