On April 27, 2026, Universitat Pompeu Fabra will host a special screening of La Hija del NO (2025), directed by Silvina Hermosa, followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.

This documentary explores the landmark socio-environmental movement in Esquel, Argentina. In 2003, local mobilization led to a historic plebiscite in which the community overwhelmingly rejected open-pit mining. The film revisits this experience through an intimate lens, connecting personal narratives with broader political and environmental struggles.
