Before joining COLT, Marina did a Master's degree at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, where, with Gemma Boleda and Louise McNally, she studied the syntax and semantics of relational adjectives in Catalan. She got her BA in Linguistics at the University of Barcelona. She is currently pursuing a PhD with Gemma Boleda and Louise McNally.
