OpenVR HMD-less Tracking Library now available from UPF Full-Body Interaction Lab

The FuBIntLab has developed a library that can be used from C++ or from within Unity (as a plugin) to be able to use outside-in HTC Trackers in Mixed Reality spaces without needing an HMD to control the trackers.

This library is OpenSource and is based on Valve's OpenVR libraries and SteamVR libraries and is offered as is, on our FuBIntLab GitHub repository (https://lnkd.in/dUkgA-z8)
(AFAWK) Such library for controlling the HTC trackers without needing an HMD was not publicly available and was not supported by HTC, Valve or SteamVR. We hope that this will now help small and large developers, research groups, tinkerers, hobbyists, etc., to start many new MR projects, applications, and experiences with a cost effective HW configuration.
Our lab currently uses it in our 6x6 meters projection MR system to have experiences that allow users to navigate physical and virtual space simultaneously without needing special viewing devices (especially good for children with autism).
