From 3 to 6 June 2024, the Miró Campus will take place at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, an academic conference that addresses the intersections between contemporary museums, research and communication from an open, interdisciplinary and applied perspective.

The activity, co-organised by the pre-doctoral researcher of the CINEMA group, Ramon Balcells, is part of the Joan Miró Foundation - UPF Chair in Contemporary Art. It is aimed at master's, doctoral and bachelor's degree students in Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

The Campus is divided into four days, each dedicated to a thematic universe: exhibition curatorship, research and audiovisual practices, narrative from feminisms and materialities. There will be a range of activities, from classes and lectures to guided tours and workshops, all of them given by the Joan Miró Foundation team and UPF lecturers and researchers. They will include members of the CINEMA group such as Jordi Balló, Glòria Salvadó, Ivan Pintor, Violeta Kovacsics and Carles Guerra.

For doctoral students, the activity may be validated by their thesis supervisor as AF3 hours if he/she considers it appropriate for their training.
Registration is free and capacity is limited to 30 people per day.
