[Talk and walk: Deviations] North and South, with Martín Bonadeo (17.10.24)

In the framework of the Deviations cycle, organized by Iker Jauregui, Cristina Fernández, Jordi Mariné, and Sergi Castellà from the IUC, members of the Haas Group for Research in Poetics of Knowledge, the first session will take place on Thursday, October 17. This session will focus on the ideas of the north and south, their often invisible normative persistence, and the alternative ways of seeing and living that confront them today.
The guest for this first session is the artist and researcher Martín Bonadeo, who has over 20 years of experience in projects within the visual arts. Bonadeo is a member and co-founder of MICRA, a collective of artist scientists, and co-founder and co-director of LUDLAB, a ludic laboratory at the Universidad Austral. He has held various exhibitions in Argentina, Brazil, Peru, the USA, Spain, and Japan, as well as several public installations, such as "Ensayos para vivir en paz" (2021), an installation expanded worldwide in 2024. Bonadeo has been a Haas Fellow at the Haas Library (2019) and an artist-in-residence at UPF (2022).
The session will consist of a conversation with the artist about his work, followed by a walk from the Pompeu Fabra University to the ombú tree in the Ciutadella Park.
