On December 3, 2025, to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of poet Rainer Maria Rilke in 2025, as well as the opening of the centenary of his death in 2026, Professors Amador Vega, Teresa Vinardell, Eduard Cairol, and Sergi Castellà Martínez from the Department of Humanities host an event in homage to the poet at the Albert Calsamiglia Hall on the Ciutadella Campus, on Wednesday, December 3, at 6:00 p.m.

The event features contributions from Vega, Vinardell, and Cairol, on the poet's philosophical, literary, and artistic dimensions, and from Josep Maria Fulquet, translator. Actor Arthur Häring recites a selection of Rilke’s poems, together with Cristian Diaconu (Aula de Teatre UPF) and the roundtable speakers.

The tribute concludes with a glass of cava.
