On October 17th-18th, Joaquim Albareda and David Ferré Gispets have coordinated a scientific meeting on the history of Catalonia during the XVIIIth century. My contribution has dealt with the Tribunal de Contrafaccions (1702-1713) in constrast with a "similar" jurisdiction that existed in the mid 17th century, called "jutges paccionats" (1642-1647)
