Javier García García obtained his PhD in 2015 entitled " Protein-protein interaction network: management of databases and its applications on the computational study of protein-protein interactions" supervised by Dr. Baldomero Oliva at the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences, at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

In 2008 he obtained a B. Sc. in Computer Science (Enginyeria tècnica en Informàtica de Gestió) at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. In 2005 obtained a Degree in Biology at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

From March to June 2015 he worked on the IMI EMIF (European Medical Informatics Framework) project at the Integrative Biomedical Informatics Group. From 2010 to 2013 he participated in the SHIPREC project FP7 EU (Salmonella Host Interactions Project European Consortium).

Javier García García was awarded as best performer in the DREAM8.5 - Rheumatoid Arthritis Responder Prediction Challenge (subchallenge 2), in the team SBI Lab. He participated in the organization of the DREAM ALS Stratification Prize4Life Challenge in 2015.

From July 2015 he works as Data Scientist in Gameloft Barcelona.
