Tawny Andersen is a scholar and practitioner of performance philosophy. She is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellow in UPF’s Institute of Culture, where she is carrying out the project “PERFORM: Performativity as Artistic and Curatorial Praxis”. She recently completed at Social Sciences and Humanities Council of Canada postdoctoral fellowship at Kingston University and The University of Surrey. She holds at PhD in art history from the McGill University, and a master’s degree in performance studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. As a sessional instructor, she has taught at the University of Calgary and OCAD University. As a contemporary dancer, she has performed in the works of Jan Fabre, Meg Stuart, Kris Verdonck, and others. Her publications appear in: Performance Philosophy; The Routledge Companion to Performance Philosophy; Performance Research; Culture, Theory and Critique, Beyond the Subject-Object Divide: The Work of Kris Verdonck; Practicing Futures through Voicing; Bodies of Text/Les Corps du Texte. She is a founding editor of TURBA: The Journal for Global Practices in Live Arts Curation.
